Midian Electronics’ ANI-F (Automatic Number Identification) module enables simple, easy to use monitoring of fleet communications through radio identification. When a system user keys up their radio the ANI module transmits a tone sequence or a digital packet. This sequence or packet can then be displayed on Midian’s CAD, ADD and TRC series display decoders or any brand of decoder compatible with the ANI format being used.

The ANI-F also offer Emergency ANI (ENI) that can be connected to an emergency button on the radio or a tilt switch. When ENI is activated the module sends a sequence with an emergency status digit attached. The display decoder will then show an alarm indication for that unit.

The modules can be programmed to transmit any of the following formats: Motorola’s MDC-1200®, Kenwood’s FleetSync®, Harris’ G-Star™ (aka GE-Star), DTMF, 5-Tone (all formats), 2-Tone (all formats), burst tone, or POCSAG.
