Midian’s ATRC-2 is a two line unit that allows a dispatcher or operator to control two remote base stations or repeaters using the standard EIA tone format over a dedicated phone lines, microwave paths or telemetry links. It also employs an intercom feature to allow the dispatcher to talk to other parallel tone remotes on the same system. With the built-in keypad the operator can select up to 16 functions/frequencies. The DTMF encode capability enables the dispatcher to perform selective calling functions.
