Midian’s ATRC-5 desk set is a five line unit that allows a dispatcher or operator to control up to five remote base stations or repeaters using the standard EIA tone format over a dedicated phone lines, microwave paths or telemetry links. The ATRC-5 introduces interoperability capability between the dispatcher and each of the five lines if enabled.  The unit also employs an intercom feature to allow the dispatcher to talk to other parallel tone remotes on the same system. With the built-in keypad the operator can select up to 16 functions/frequencies. The encode capability enables the dispatcher to perform selective calling functions or page.
