The CAD-500 is a computer based display and hardware encoder / decoder solution for Motorola’s MDC-1200® signaling.

The CAD modem decodes and displays the incoming unit id (aka ANI) and Emergency unit id (aka ENI), as well as an alias, status, location and the time and date of the ANI. The CAD-500 also encodes commands using Motorola’s MDC-1200® signaling for features such as selective calling of field units, radio kill, query and more.  The CAD-500U is the USB version of the serial port CAD-500.
